  • Learn while you work – CMIT elearning provides fully tutor-support, certified courses which allow you learn while you work. There is no need to travel to classes or take time off work to attend lectures. Although it is important to make the correct course choice, it is also important to remember that eLearning may not suit everyone, and that a traditional classroom environment may be best suited for your needs. However, eLearning’s practicality and flexibility (along with self-motivation and dedication). There can have a positive and beneficial experience to using eLearning for Employee skills.
  • Compliment current Qualifications – If you already hold a college degree or other certifications you may wish to complete a short course to build a specific skill, for example in Digital Marketing, Project Management or Event Management.
  • Gain National Certification – choose a course which is nationally certified will add to the overall appeal of the programme, and will ensure that it is high quality. For example, at CMIT we offer a ILM and QQI qualifications which are all on the National Framework of Qualifications.
  • Progression to University – many courses can be used to assist in gaining entry to third level. In 2013, 38 higher education institutions including universities, institutes of technology and private third level colleges offered places on a variety of courses, following completion of QQI awards. In addition to the Higher Education Links Scheme (HELS) which links specific QQI Level 5 Certificates and some Level 6 Advanced Certificates to a number of reserved places on higher education courses, the Institutes of Technology and some higher education institutions operate an admissions criteria and scoring system for non-specific QQI Level 5 Certificate and Level 6 Advanced Certificate applicants.
