Course Details

The purpose of this program is to prepare students interested in project management or who are currently project team members to take the Certified Associate in Project Management CAPM® (Project Management Professional) certification examination. The emphasis is on explaining the PMI® (Project Management Institute) best practices for project management across the continuum from predictive through adaptive life cycles as proposed in the 7th edition PMBOK® (Project Management Body of Knowledge). The course provides the student with the information required to understand the concepts that will need to be applied in an analytical manner to answer examination situational questions. It is expected that the student will review these lessons and use practice questions and flashcards to finish preparing for the examination.

Our PMP course provides you with the necessary 35 hours to take your PMP exam. The PMP certification validates that project managers have the necessary skills to complete projects on time and within budget. The exam covers the entire project life cycle from initiation and planning through execution, acceptance, support and closure. Assessment
  • Once you successfully pass the programme(s), you will be able to download a CMIT Digital Certificate of Completion. This can be accessed via the Progress Reports section located on the top right side of your eLearning platform.
  • You may optionally take an online exam to apply for PMI certification. This is assessed through multiple choice exam (PMI-PMP). PMP exam fees are not included in the course price. To complete the PMP exam, you must have either (1) a four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or the global equivalent) and at least three years of project management experience, with 4,500 hours leading and directing projects and have completed this course, or (2) at least five years of project management experience, with 7,500 hours leading and directing projects and have completed this course.

  • Operating System – PC (Windows 7 or later), Mac or Android.
Accreditation
  • Following completion of the online assessment, you will receive a Certificate in Project Management from the College of Management and IT (CMIT).
  • You may optionally take an online exam to apply for PMI certification. This is assessed through multiple choice exam (PMI-PMP 6th Edition). Exam fees are not included in the course price.
